SAS has been an important career partner for generations of its scientist members. In 2018, we'd like to celebrate the many scientific contributions of SAS Members, while giving everyone present a chance to meet the science pioneers, heroes and SAS's future in one exciting event. Spectroscopists have shed a lot of light on many technical challenges and now we'd like to shine a spotlight on the progress Spectroscopists have made since 1958.
Your donation money will help pay for the event itself, which will be held during the SciX meeting (the national meeting for SAS) in Atlanta. We want everyone who loves electromagnetic radiation and SAS to mark their calendars for October 21-26, 2018. Plan to join us!
For those of you who are newer to SAS, this meeting will be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to not just see the people who made Spectroscopy the important contributor it is to nearly every type of technical endeavor, but to hear their stories. If you use this opportunity to talk with the other guests, you will leave the event and the conference as part of the gang - one of those in the know about the serious dedication, the accidents, the wagers, and maybe even the practical jokes that helped shape our science.
Please don't miss this event, and, if you can, donate toward making it the total experience that it should be. And buy your 60th Anniversary T-shirt, too, or be one of the first to donate and get a 60th Anniversary T-shirt to wear to the party!
